LAS VEGAS, APRIL 23, 2024 — In a powerful demonstration of community support, Project 150, a local nonprofit dedicated to assisting homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students, proudly announces its third consecutive year of partnership with EoS Fitness to raise funds for its scholarship program. This initiative, set to launch on May 1st and continue through June 15th, aims to transform the lives of deserving local youths by providing them with the opportunity to pursue higher education.

Throughout the duration of the campaign, EoS Fitness members and team members across all 15 Nevada gym locations will be encouraged to elevate their efforts, going above and beyond in their workouts to make a tangible difference. As a token of appreciation, gym guests and team members who contribute to Project 150's cause will have a symbolic paper graduation cap and tassel displayed at the front desk of the gym.

EoS Fitness is focused on raising up to $40,000 this year, and the company has pledged a match up to $25,000 for a total fundraising goal of $65,000 to support the scholarship program. This generous commitment reflects EoS’ unwavering dedication to fostering positive change within the community and providing vital support to local youth.

ABOUT PROJECT 150'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

Project 150's scholarship program offers financial assistance to high school seniors and current college students seeking to pursue higher education at any of Nevada's institutions. The application process opens in October and closes in April, with awards announced in early June. In 2023 alone, Project 150 awarded over $240,000 in scholarships to 98 deserving Southern Nevada students, with each recipient receiving up to $4,000. Notably, 81 of these recipients were first-generation college students, and 20 are set to earn their undergraduate degrees this fall.

Kelli Kristo, Executive Director of Project 150

Kelli Kristo, Executive Director of Project 150, expressed the organization's commitment to providing students with the resources necessary to achieve their academic goals, stating, "Our goal is to ensure these students have access to the tools necessary to pursue and complete a post-secondary education. It's amazing to see how far our fundraising efforts and community support have grown over the past 13 years."

Eric McCauley, Senior Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations for EoS Fitness

Eric McCauley, Senior Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations for EoS Fitness, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the community's collective effort to support local youth. "This has been such a great partnership over the last two years. Our team members and members are instrumental in helping raise money for Project 150 and Nevada youth. We’re proud to continue to support the local community and provide even more kids with higher-education opportunities.”

ABOUT PROJECT 150:

Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, founded in December 2011 by local businessmen Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur. The two heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break. Since that time, Project 150 has expanded and now serves more than 6,800 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students in more than 75 schools in Nevada. Project 150 provides these students with free food, clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, shoes, college scholarships, workforce readiness, and other needs so they can focus on school, graduate and be successful in life.
